Dear Edison Families,
In order to help students prepare for their upcoming Regents examinations in June and in alignment with the district mandates, Thomas A. Edison CTE High School will administer Mock Regents midterm exams, for Regents-level courses on March 13, 16, 17, and 18, 2026.
These practice exams are designed to allow students to experience the structure and expectations of the Regents exam in advance, while also helping teachers identify areas where additional instruction and support may be needed before the official exam in June.
To minimize the loss of instructional time, the school will operate on a special bell schedule on these four days. Students who are scheduled to take a Mock Regents exam will report for testing beginning at 8:00 AM. Students who are not scheduled to take an exam that day will report to school according to their first or second period start time based on their schedule.
It is very important that all students attend school on these days, even if they are not scheduled for an exam. Students who arrive early before their scheduled class period will have supervised spaces available in the gymnasium for educational activities and in the auditorium for quiet study. These Mock Regents exams will also count as the students midterm exams.
Please note that these Mock Regents exams are practice assessments designed to prepare students for success. If any questions appear on the practice exam that cover material not yet taught in class, students will not be penalized for those questions.
Students will receive individual notifications with their exam dates, times, and room assignments.
We appreciate your continued partnership in supporting your child’s academic success and preparation for June Regents exams.
