Edison is proud to have Parent Coordinator Mariela Chevry supporting our school community.

Mariela has been part of the NYC Department of Education since 2018, serving as a dedicated Parent Coordinator (PC). Before joining Edison, she worked closely with families at the elementary level, where she built strong, lasting home–school partnerships that continue to guide her work today.

Since joining Edison in 2022, Mariela has been committed to strengthening communication between families and the school. She continues to encourage parents and guardians to connect with her by phone, email, or in person with any questions, concerns, or ideas that support student success.

Born, raised, and still residing in Jamaica, Queens, Mariela has deep roots in the community she proudly serves. As a Thomas A. Edison CTE High School alumna, she understands firsthand the value of a strong foundation in college and career readiness.

Looking ahead, Mariela remains passionate about giving back to her alma mater and is dedicated to working collaboratively with Edison students, families, administration, teachers, and staff to continue building a supportive and thriving school community.

Together, she and the Edison community are moving forward—achieving great things every day.
